HANNS G 28" LIGHT BLEED

They havent stopped producing them, stocks been in constraint since Mid Jan. Stocks on the way via Sea, due to land Wk1/Wk2 of April.

Will be a slightly different model, very similar spec!

Watch this space!

I'd like to hear some numbers from OCUK as to how many have been RMA'd. If it was as much of a big problem as it seems from looking at this forum, then they wouldn't be carrying on production.

I think it's a case of problematic quality control on the panel, and it is probably only effecting something like 10% or less of the monitors sold, I think it's probably that the only people who bother to post here are the one's with problems.

I suspect the return rate is low because most of the people buying these screens are not too fussy about quality and wouldn't RMA over something like this. My brother has one and the backlight bleed is so bad it would drive me crazy, but he doesn't mind it at all and thinks the Hanns-G is a great upgrade from his old 22". But if my 27" Dell had backlight bleed even half as bad I'd regard it as broken.

Ive had mine for a little while now and when i first got it i noticed the back light bleed and im pretty sure mine seems to be getting worst which is why i asked if it was a gradual thing for the bleed to get worst over time.

I know you cant really grumble over the price/quality balance but surely the bleed issue shouldnt be this bad.

Thanks, i might return mine now see what they do :D

delpy8 can you take a picture of your monitor with the light off whilst on using the blank screensaver in windows?

Will do, but will be later on as the wife has the camera and is on her way up to Scotland from Hull,

Thanks for the pics delpy8. As gareth170 said though, its possible over time the back light bleed could return but its also possible it could stay as it is wit the slight bleed which would be great for you.
