Sorry, only just noticed this. Can't take a pic next to my 22" as that's now upstairs on my boy's PC and I CBA to get it back down, but here it is next to my 19" that I am using as a secondary display in portrait mode:

Mine arrived today and agree it is huge my old 22in samsung looked very small indeed.

So far so good glad i got it now, anyone know where to get a decent wall plate at all?

Its fixed to the base as far as i can see unless you get a wall bracket.

Could be wrong though on that.

But yeh its big its nearly as tall as a antec 1200

I also went from a samsung 226bw 22" to this and wow what a difference haha.
The only thing I'm missing is an extra HDMI input, otherwise everything is fantastic
 
haven't really compared it side by side but there isn't a huge difference as far as I can see. What I wanted was a higher res + better image quality and this screen delivers on those points, also it's really nice to watch movies on this screen even though the ratio is 16:10.

totally worth the upgrade! :)

The samsung 226bw is well known for excellent image clarity and very sharp text resolution. Does the Hannspree match it?

I am looking for a monitor with very sharp text resolution since I spend a lot of time on the web.

I'm also moving from a Sammy 226bw so I share your concerns. I have been monitoring this thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18139419

Everyone seems to be quite pleased with this Hanns G.
I'm very tempted.
 
I'm looking to order this to go alongside my 20" Samsung. I like the idea of using one in portrait mode to allow browsing etc. Might have to try that (Can you tell I've never had more than 1 monitor in my life? ;) ).
 
I ordered the HZ281HPB yesterday and it arrived this morning. I swapped it out with my old Sammy 226BW.

It's huge! No dead pixels. No noticeable backlight bleed but I will check again tonight when it's darker.

I need to take a bit more time getting the colours right but right now I would have to say that this is £280 well spent. I'm very happy :)
 
all these 226bw... i hope some of them find their way to the members market where another member such as myself will keep an eye out for them in order to double the number of 226bw's currently on my desk - email in trust.

this monitor looks nice!.....
