Noticing all the doom and gloom around here (ukraine war, people being drowned/imploded in a submarine, every celebrity is a hidden perv, etc)

So for some fun just might as well remind you today is summer solstice day

longest day of the year.

HAPPY SOLSTICE DAY EVERYONE

(sadly the ancient people used to celebrate this with some kind of animal sacrifice, I don't have any animal to kill, so the best you will get is a lame forum post)

Summer solstice is the sad one. Means the nights are getting shorter!

Although the time of year is amazing around the solstice. Hot, sunny days, long days.

Winter sucks. At least the winter solstice means summer is on its way and Christmas is nearly done. But it's the spring equinox that really means summer is about to kick off! :D

Shame summer isn't 3/4 of the year!

When that thread comes to the top it's time to hibernate and look forward to. Spring! Usually October when I give up on getting the good weather. November is a horrible month. Still so far away from spring and usually just constant dank weather.

my boys birthday is today so i do the spoiling thing but yesterday I did a summer solstice bike ride.

I got 400km in but my a hole hurts a fair bit.
