For Some Reason a few days ago my O/S Drive that is the Sata Data Connector Port broke off!

The Drive was brought from Overclockers in 2007 and I sent a web note explaining the problem, I had a reply they needed to make sure of my story didn't hear from them.

So I phoned them to say my Warranty has expired on the the drive oh dash!

So I had an idea of going to the manufacturer (Western Digital) and Thursday created an Advanced Rma 3-5 Days waiting for it to be processed, I thought this is a long time to wait for just a HD Replacement.

I tried emailing them no reply, I got though to support who said its 3-5 Days for the turn around.

Would it be best off to just phone them and cancel the Rma and buying another one?

so what your saying is that you dont want to wait 3-5 days for a new drive from the RMA service, so your now asking if its a better idea to cancel the RMA and (keep your broken drive) and go out and buy a brand new drive.

the daftness is strong with this one

Rob, it will be with you in a couple days or so what's the rush? Buy another drive if you have to but you may as well RMA the broken one... You could always sell the RMA drive on.

May the daftness be with you :D

Why would you RMA a drive you broke the connector on?

If you are going to try and RMA it I certainly would not do an advanced RMA as they will likley bill you for the replacement once they recieve your user damaged drive back.
