Hi all,
I am trying to access a hard drive that was the C: unit in a friends computer.. when trying to start up his PC the BSOD flashes quickly on the screen and then it just reboots.. all it does is going around in a loop so I thought that there might just be some disk reading error, which I had before on another PC and I was able to repair it by accessing the drive through another PC.. i.e. pulling the C: drive and putting it into a external casing and accessing it that way.. anyway..
I tried doing this with my friends hard drive and when I turn on the external drive I can hear it spin up but nothing happens.. when I click on any of my other drives in "My Computer" nothing happens until I turn of the external drive and then everything works fine once again.. I am presuming that the HDD is inaccessible and all it can be used for now is as a paper weight.. or is there some way I can access it so that I at least can retrieve my friends saved stuff on the HDD?
Really appreciate any help you guys and gals can give me!
