=( was hoping there could be a fix for it, is there littraly nothing i can do? i will throw it away if there is littraly nothing i can do, will shaking it fix it lmao? i will give ne thing a try

You can try and partition it, in my experience most of the bad sectors will be at the start. So he you could create 2 partitions, 30GIG and then the rest. Then install windows to the second partition, this means you lose the first 30GIGS. IT has worked for me before.

very nice idea i shall try that much better then throwing it away.

the senible option is to get a torx screwdriver and take the magnet out before throwing it away. a HDD in several peices will ensure any data recovery isnt possible if you are paranoid about data security.

also have you tried emailing WD to see if the RMA road is still available even though your HDD warranty ran out?
