Need some quick advice please:
Is there likely to be a noticeable difference in performance between the following laptop hard drives. Everything is identical specs-wise apart from the following
Toshiba MK4025
Data heads: 2
No of disks: 1
Buffer: 8mb
Toshiba MK4021
Data heads: 3
No of disks: 2
Buffer: 2mb
The MK4025 drive is the original damaged drive and the MK4021 is what I have been offered to replace it with. It's the buffer size which concerns me. Will it make much of a difference for general useage?
