Hard drive checking software

Hi,

I need to check my wife's hard drives. I've tried two versions of Seatools for Windows but they both crash when I run them (under Win XP). I was wondering if there is anything else out there that does a good job of checking dives for problems, errors and such?

As a side note from what I've read the Seatools can check other drives aside from Seagate and Maxtor.

Try SeaTools For DOS...

HDtune does a good job.

Thanks I have Seatools for Dos I've just been a bit lazy to use it. But I'll give it a whirl should all else fail.
