Hard drive cloning software

Hi Guys,

I've got my hands on a Samsung Spinpoint 500Gb as a replacement for my aging Hitachi 160gb. I want to clone my data straight across to the new drive, and use the full 500Gb as the primary partition, preferably from within windows.

Can anyone make any reccomendations what to use? I've seen some softare that Western Digital Supply mentioned before, but can't find it anywhere.

All help greatly appreciated.

I got Paragon Drive Copy 8 Personal Edition from a magazine cover disc a couple of months ago, and it was a free registration.

Does exactly what you need to do, and I've upgraded many drives flawlessly since.

I've looked around for version 8 download link, but they all seem to be dead now, but I notice you can download a trial version 8.5 here.

Tooks, Drive copy looks the part, but the demo versions don't actually do anything, and the links on the VNU website don't work, but I'll keep an eye out for that one in future.
