Hard Drive Coolers...

Hi there im looking at the Antec Hard Driver cooler and probably going ot get one or two but can anyone recommend any others, there doesnt seem to be much choice on OCUK.

Also are they really worth it ?

The GUP japan smart drive is great as it silences as well as cools. There is a standard version for about £50 and a cooper version (not a typo) which is copper with extra cooling. Both take upto 15,000 RPM drives.

Slightly cheaper is the Scythe quiet drive for about £25.

For pure coolers there are:

Xilence Icebox Passive Hard Disk Cooler at about £20

Zalman ZM-2HC2 Hard Drive Heatpipe Cooler at about £19

Coolink Silent Savior, Quiet Hard Drive Cooler at about £10

You will have to search for them as I don't think OcUK sell them.

the Antec one not worth it then ? even at £15 at competitors ? not really looking to spend more than £20 on each one

Scythe Kama bay or similar, or a CM 3-in-1 in you have a Stacker or another case with filter covers on the 5.25" bays. Quiet, helps case cooling and easily replacable fan. Those litle HD coolers that fit underneath are loud and shift very little air.

Yes I have 3 x CM 3-in-1's in my stacker. I have used the for a couple of years and they have been very goos and not too noisy
