Not something that I have looked into I admit.

I have a Lian Li PC343B build which has no 3.5" drive bays and requires 5.25" to 3.5" bays or some other form of method to hold drives.

I need to house two 150GB raptors, and was wondering how you guys would go about it?

METHOD ONE:
The old school method of using elastic, which will suspend the hard disks and have in front of them a Lian Li bezel + fan.

+'s:
No vibration carried from disk to case
Cheap

-'s:
Won't solve drive noise, i.e seek noises.

MEHTOD TWO
Nexus DiskTwin, which is basically two metal strips with fins cut into them. They are lined with anti-vibration rubber and also rubber blocks where you screw into from the chassis.

+'s:
Minimal vibration carried from disk to case
Cheap
Look good

-'s:
Again, won't solve drive noise, i.e seek noises.

METHOD THREE
Some sort of disk enclosure. Must have SATA data connection and also SATA power molex connection. The ones I have seen always seem to fall short on one of these things.

So need to be:
Black
Sata data connection
Sata power connection

+'s:
Solves drive noise
Minimal vibration from disk to chassis
Look good

-'s:
Not as cheap (but money is no object)

Anyone know of any enclosures which meet the criteria?

What would you guys go for out of the three options? :)

I've got the same case and use a mix of method one and hidden method four.

Method one is pretty good, cheap, easy and will reduce both the seek and spin noise.

Method four is to use a Lian Li Ex43B 4 in 3 module which lets you mount 4 HDDs in three bays. It comes with a 120mm fan and rubber mounts for the drives which seem pretty effective in quietening the 8 Hitachi's I have, the fan needs to be run at 7V or 5V though, at full speed it's pretty noisy.

I put foam plastic on my 5.25" bays and placed the hdds on top of the foam and I think its pretty quiet. My raptor is more silent than old maxtor which I find quite strange...

Silentmaxx HDD silencers come in black and are supposedly very effective. Around £40 last time I checked.
