Good morning all.

I wanted to ask if anyone can help please do any and all idea would be nice.

I have 2 160GB Samsung Spinpoint Hard drives, In a Raid 0.

I am unable to format these hard drives, It tends to crash my computer, I have tried to format them during a WIndows installation, with no luck that crashed too.

Basicaly, I need these hard drives working, So was wondering if anyone had any good ideas how to fix it.

thanks.

I'd be tempted to break the RAID array then error check and format them as single drives. Once you've established that the drives are OK you can look at recreating the array.

Download the manufacterer's diagnostic CD image, burn it to CD, boot from it, and run a proper set of diagnostics on that disk. If it is confirmed bad, then it's RMA time.
