Hard drive corruption?

I'm wondering whether I've got a corrupt hard drive in my new PC, several file paths have come up with messages that the files are corrupt and cannot be read and this also prevents me from re-installing the files  I've ran Seatools for windows (my drives a barracuda 1tb) which says the hard drives fine, windows memory check (no RAM errors) and attempted to run the chkdsk utility but it refuses to work properly.

I have also re-installed GPU drivers and they are perfectly stable, I have overclocked my Phenom to 4.0ghz but it stays 32C idle 44C load and shouldn't be causing instability. Does anyone have any idea whether this is a hard drive problem or something else and if so, how to go about sorting out an RMA.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

I've downloaded the firmware update (why didn't I check:rolleyes:) and random file corruption has stopped for now. I'm re-installing the corrupted files and will update if it happens again. Thanks for the helpful replies
