I'm having a spot of hassle with hard drives.

My daughter has a Packard Bell Easynote W1801 laptop, which now for some reason fails to boot and gives me a list of boot devices to choose from (HDD, CD, Floppy, LAN). I choose hard drive and nothing happens. If I choose CDROM, floppy or LAN it will work, but not from hard drive.

In the BIOS, on the first page under a section called Devices, it says that the hard drive is disabled. Anyone know how it could have been disabled or how to get it re-enabled?

TIA.

There's no option to enable it again anywhere? Could try re-setting the BIOS, not sure how easy that is on a laptop though.
