Hello guys
I have recently build up my new gaming PC and i am having troubles with my Hard Drive. I have a Samsung ssd 128 gb for the OS and I also bought the Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) to install the games on it. Problem is the Seagate HD disappears every now and then and after a couple of restarts it appears again. When it disappears it disappears from the disk management tab as well. Is it something common or should i call OCUK to ask them for a replacement?

I presume you have formatted the drive through Admin Tools > Device Management > Disk Management?

What board/chipset you running it on?
Theres my whole build:
Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail
Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Seasonic M12II 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply
Samsung 128GB SSD 830 Desktop Series SATA 6Gb/s KIT with Norton Ghost - (MZ-7PC128D/EU)
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001)
Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler - Blue (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2)
BitFenix Shinobi USB3.0 Gaming Case - Black
Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (1x8GB) 1600MHz PC3-12800C10 Single Channel Module (KHX1600C10D3B1/8G)

When i first botted my system and went on to disk management it asked me what i wanted that disk to be in order to enable it. I remember clcicking the second option (not the master one) and i think i set it out as NTFS. After that it formatted the disk and worked fine for the first day. Then it started doing this

Yeah it sounds like that drive is playing up. Try swapping out SATA and power cables just to be 100% sure. Change SATA ports on the board too.

Also, are you running Intel's chipset/controller/RST drivers for the Z77?

You could also try downloading HDTune and running the sector scanner to see if that turns anything up.

Could be faulty HD, faulty SATA cable, or problem with the SATA port perhaps. I would try different SATA port on the mobo, if the same try a different SATA cable otherwise probably your HD...
