Hard-drive dying ?

I am having a lot of lock-ups/freezes requring restarts and was wondering if it is the HDD ?

ANy thoughts ?
 
Modern drives (Samsung especially) have very low tolerances for vibration. I can replicate that graph of yours with my F3s by switching a high speed case fan on. A thread on the problem here:

Low temperatures also do this, altho the drive needs to be well below 20c. That was an issue I discovered during the cold snap in December, when the HDs dropped to a chilly 12c.
