Hard drive failed?

Got a very strange problem guys, i have a spinpoint F3 1tb as a secondary drive, which had about 400gig filled with stuff. Games etc. I turned pc off last night all was fine. Just booted pc up now. when i get into windows i notice the drive says it has nothing used? seems everything has dissapeared? this is not a windows drive, just a second drive. What can i do to check for problems.

Weird thing is, even though nothing is showing, right clicking the drive and properties, it tells me used space 589 gig, which should be right. but why is nothing showing.

Does the drive show up nicely in disk management? It should show up, and tell you the partition on the drive and how much is filled.

Samsung have a Drive Diagnostic Utility run it on a dos usb stick , should tell you if drive is on the way out

yeah the drive shows up and says its healthy.also says 100% free, so i have no idea whats happened.
