how do you know when your hard drives going? mine is making a click when windows is booting and sometimes dosent get as far as the loggin screen. im running 2 raptors in raid 0. what are the usual symptoms?

the symptoms are pretty much what you describe. I just managed to fix 2 badsectors on one of my raptors with a program called HDD Regenerator, which is fantastic.
In your case mechanical failure sounds more likely
I'd backup the data & test each drive seperately with western digital's diagnosis software from their website.
