Months a go my raid5 failed. Think I knocked something when in the case, started it up which caused an issue, plugged it back in and even though it should have worked decided not to.
I have my C drive on my SSD so been using my PC since, just had no real need for the raid and out of laziness/fear of not being able to use memory recovery software never bothered.
Anyway onto the problem.
Today decided I would try and fix it. One of the hard-drives is hanging on post screen, no matter what where I plug it in and what order it's always the same one. Any idea what the issue is?
I know after the raid fail it worked as I started the repair progress, got to around 6% before deciding I needed to turn off the computer for the night. Nothing has been plugged back in since.
Is this now a hard-drive fail, should I access the BIOS and see if it's registering?
Worryingly I noticed my SSD was also showing as "controlled by raid" is this a standard thing for every hard-drive plugged in even if it's not part of an array?
Thanks for any help if you've been able to decipher my waffling.
