Hard-drive help please

Okay, so I have a WD Sata-2 160GB HDD that I can't get to work. My computer expoded and it stopped working, so I got a replacement and can't remember how to put i back.

I have the HDD, I plugged in the SATA cable into the HDD, and it didn't work. Then the power, and it didnt work, then both and it didnt work. Am I meant to be plugging something into the mobo aswell.

Oh and I've tried a IDE hdd and it works fine.

*whistles*.. - Jus sitting here refreshing... on my PS3.

It appears as though there ar 3 different types of connectors on the back of my hard-drive. The sata one, the 4 pi power one and a smaller one but I don't have a wire for this.
 
For a SATA hard drive to work, you need the SATA cable and the power cable.
