I have noticed that my hard drives are resonating through my case quite a lot and creating an overall Hum... when i press lightly down on the top of the Hard drive, the hum stops - making the whole Pc way quieter.... is there any way i can reduce the vibrations of these Hard Drives?

The hum is down to the HDD making the case resonate. The easiest way to cure it is to decouple the HDD from the case either with vibration damping screws or by suspending it in two loops of bungee cord or elastic.

I've done this in my fileserver... works a treat. B&Q sell shock cord which is stretchy. I used that. :)

I've used 5.25" mounting method but with lace, but it still seems to transfer vibration to the cage. Going to replace it with some elastic tomorrow.
