Hi guys,
I am experiencing a really annoynig problem with my hard drive. It seems to freeze randomly and it tends to happen when it is accessing multiple applications (when running a virus scan and browsing the internet for example). I am virtually certain this is the hard drive as I can here the disk activity immediately stop and the hard drive light remains on. This freezes the desktop to the point that only a reboot will solve it.
I have ran HD Tune to scan the disk but of course the test came out fine. As this is an intermittent problem it may be difficult for the diagnostic software to pick it up. It is a Samsung 320GB SATA II drive with 16MB cache. Should I email Samsung about it? I have attached a screen shot from HD tune. Not sure if this looks normal. Thanks!
