hard-drive noise

i think my hitachi's are playing up again

its quite a high pitched noise, and its like metal on metal grinding

i have no idea how long this has been going on for, as i have only just started hearing the noise after i replaced my PSU (2 days ago, this new corsair is soo quiet)

i'm quite paranoid about my hitachi's drives after having 2 fails after a month or 2 of use at the same time

is this common of are my drives about to fail again

I would backup anything important, just incase. Are you sure its comming from the hard drives?

backing up is rather problamatic, as i have about 400gb of data to back up and only 80gb of storage space

got the very very important stuff back-ups tho.

i'm pretty sure it is, as when i set stuff to copy, i'm sure the noise become more prodant (spelling??) Going to be going round the pc tomorrow checking tho.
