I brought a hard drive other day, all loaded windows etc on it.

Then suddenly next day turned on, it not booting up, noticed it is not even detecting the hard drive.

So Okay, I plugged it in to a sata/usb caddy on to my main computer and it detects it okay, and all the files are there.

So I plug it back into my pc, and still doing the same thing, no detection in the bios, I even changed the Sata Port on motherboard. I have yet to find another Sata Cable just incase. I have even reset the bios just incase as well.

Any other ideas?

as you said I would change the sata cable and power cable, see if that helps as if the bios cant see it at all its got to be a faulty cable.

can you hear the drive spinning up?
