At the moment i have an adequate spec pc; asus p5q board, 512mb 4850 and an e2180 @ 2.8ghz. It's not amamzing, but in games it does exactly what i want. However my hard drives are shambles. I have 2x IDE seagate barracuda (one isnt even plugged in), 186G each. In a month i plan on burning from between about £50-£120 on a/some new hard drives. I don't use tonnes of space, I'm using about 150G at the moment, and there are a lot of games/demos i dont use. (im on XP by the way, but plan on moving to win7)...

So what do you guys recon to a 75G velociraptor, and then a 250G F1 or something.. (how hot do velociraptors go?- ive got a nzxt hush, and they dont stay too cool)... The other route i could go down is SSD + IDE, or if you convince me enough SSD + Small sata hdd......?.... Are SSD's the cheapest they are likely to be for a while/ considerable more advantageous than a 74g velociraptor....

i can afford an SSD, if i think its worth the extra money.. To be honest i dont store all that much stuff. I don't store any music, nor videos, so all i have is files, programs or games, so i could comprimise for less space. (im not sure what im really saying/concluding from that) 2 things, are SSD's likely to come down in price in the recent future by any significant margin?. and have we got past the stage of unreliable and short lifetime HDD's yet?
