Hard drive partitioning

Hi all,

Ive got vista running on my machine with 2x 320gb hdd's running in raid. It is currently set up with just one partition.

Is it possible for me to split the partition and have vista on my c drive and move my 'my documents' to the D drive? I tried doing it via manage computer, but it doesnt seem to be able to do it.

It should be fine, no different to using a paid program.
You just need to shrink your current partition and create a new one where you want and your done

Hmmm it didnt seem to see the raid array, only the separate hard drives. Is my only way to delete the array? I REALLY dont want to have to do that

Partitioning is something you really need to think about before you install an OS!
Otherwise you risk lost/corrupt data using a workaround afterwards.

Fair enough

In that case I would personally backup everything with Ghost and then use one of the work-arounds safe in the knowledge that if it does go **** up you and restore back in a matter of minutes
