Anyone else got one of these boards...tried using a 80gb sata Barracuda (non ncq) and to say the system was slow was a joke....now back to using
an ide drive to boot with the sata as storage, with a dvdrw on the jmicro ide channel...still think the sata perf is in the tiolet.
Sata can be ran in 3 modes - IDE, RAID, AHCI ....don't want to go raid
is AHCI only good with drives that support NCQ, ie most new drives
just don't want to spend the cash on a nice big new one to find it sucks with this board...running a P4 3.8 till my E6700 shows up but my old Abit 865PE HD perf is well beyond this one...even with 1gig less ram.
