Hard Drive Problem

Well, i just tried to use norton ghost and it deleated my NTLDR files, so after a lot of messing around trying to get it back, i decided to reinstall windows xp.... unfortunatly my main drive has become unformated... instead of NTFS it says unknown... it also shows all space bar 1MB as free, now this is a proble considering it contains several years of data..... is there any way i can get it back?

Ok even worse my drive just started going Click Beep Click Beep Click Beeep Click Beep.... and wont be read

Hi, you could try booting with a linux live CD to see if you can access the data on the hard drives...
