Well hello all, I have a question on hard drives, I have a 300GB raptor drive and I am considering the move to SSD, now a 64GB would give me enough space for the OS and a couple of programs, my primary use is gaming, would I get decent performance using the SSD as primary drive with OS and my most used programs and games on the raptor, or is it worth stumping up the extra for a 120GB drive and installing all the games on the SSD too?

using a ssd for an os drive is well worth the upgrade imo. loading times for games on a ssd are also quicker than a hdd. if u think 128gb is enough space for your os, games and apps then i'd go for it. i use a intel 80gb x25-m for my os, games and apps and a couple of hdd's for my films and music etc.

I switched to SSD from the same HDD and it made a huge difference to the OS and apps. I've recently purchased a third Intel SSD since I've been very happy with their performance and reliability from day one. Using an 80GB as above for the OS.

I don't however, find that games load or run any better on SSD compared to the VR though, but then again I wasn't expecting to see any significant benefit in that respect.
