Hard drive recovery HELP NEEDED

ok i installed ubuntu onto my laptop, which completely took out My Documents and all the folders inside it. I have important docs inside My Recieved Files which is in My Documents. Standard xp home, dual boot with ubuntu.

Any way i can recover it ? i dont know what to search for either ???

As you may have blown away a Win filesystem with a Lin filesystem you may have lost the lot, but if it is still there these may help...
