Hard drive seen in bios but not in windows

ignore me, went into device managed and had something about importing a drive... im used to them just showing up

This happened to me yesterday after installing Windows. I reboot up with my storage drive in and had to import it since Windows recognised it as "foreign".

I have never really heard of this before why is it (if anybody knows?)
