hard drive seriously under performing?

ok, i did this test and was amazed at how bad my burst speed was..

so i defragged and got exactly the same result.

surly something is majorly wrong here! its a 150GB Raptor ffs :mad:

do you guys think its broken in some way? or is this normal with these hard drives :confused:

my friends are getting way higher results on the same test with a basic hard drive that is probably 3+ years old now.

so what u recon? broken or ripped off?

Looks ok to me, its a SATA150 HDD so 150MB/Sec Burst would be ideal Max but you wont ever see that.

The Average Sustained Transfer Speed is bang on and thats what matters.

That looks fine to me. As a raptor owner, thats what I was getting. Burst speed means bugger all tbh. What do you think it should be?
