Can any one assist me with the following. I have bought from ******s a "USB 2.0 TO SATA AND IDE HARD DISK ADAPTOR" This is due to my daughter who`s laptop packed up and we need to transfer her college data over, but the adaptor drive will not load, donot egt any form of Icon on the desktop and in the Device Manager there should be under the prots tab "PROLIFIC USB-TO-SERIAL COMM (COM3)" the only thing I get is uknown program, does any one have any ideas on this please.
Secondly the data we are trying to retrieve is from a laptop operating XP, the new one is Vista, and mine is XP, how should we go about this.
