Hi

I currently have two Hitachi 300Gb 16mb drives one of which is backing up the other through Win7. The back up is full and isn't doing it job and the main drive is 50GB from full.

I am looking for advice on what upgrade;

1. keep the OS on the existing drive and buy a new second drive for all the programmes (1TB) and use the spare 300Gb drive for essential file back up and a copy of the OS

2. Buy a 1Tb drive and put OS and all programmes on that and use the old drives as back up?

Or some other option?

Leaving the OS where is is seems easiest but I think Win 7 has a system for creating an image that I could sue to port things over?

Any suggestions would be welcome!

What i would do because i have three drives one external, and two internal, one for windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit, and the other is a Samsung 1TB back up drive, link below is the one i would suggest depending on what you want to store on that back up drive Files, Pictures, videos etc. Only reason im asking about files is depending on the ammount of storage you might need and whether the new drive would be full almost instantly
