I need a large hard drive 6TB or bigger I will be installing steam and all games but as there are so many different ones not sure what is the best to go for as for price not sure if I can get help one what that is best for what I need it for I would go for a ssd but it would cost to much for that size


Needs to be fast as possible for the games to run even if that means the best
 
6TB or higher for a games drive I'd go with this if you absolutely must have a mechanical drive for all your games...

If your motherboard supports it, then I'd definitely get the optane as it will speed up load times of your most frequently played games.





That said, I'd highly recommend an SSD as it's going to be much, much faster a 2tb SSD will set you back pretty much the same amount and you could just cycle games to it.​
 
16GB isn't much of cache for modern games.
Normal SSD/partition from it and PrimoCache would give lot better cache sizes.
 
I have a 6TB mechanical drive that I keep my steam library on as my internet is too slow to download games all the time, and I just cycle them to my 500GB SSD. I sometimes forget to move something to SSD and play it from mechanical drive and takes me a bit to realise why its SOOOOOO slow :)
