So the secondary drive on my PC isn't displayed, non of the stuff on it is accessible but I dont think the drive is damaged as when I reboot sometime it will be there other times it wont.

Anybody got any ideas on why this is happening? I'm going to do a virus check but I'm sure thats not the issue. Maybe a loose connection? But this PC is NEVER opened or moved so I don't see how something could come loose.

Any help is appreciated.

Your running Vista? I had the same problem, ended up the motherboard was faulty or the drivers for it just didn't work properly with Vista. Nice new board and all is fine (I tied formatting several times, never made a difference, along with many different drivers, cables, ports and BIOS HDD modes)

Nope, I'm on XP, had the PC for ages, same with the hard drive, so I doubt it is a technical fault, I just don't see the chances of one apearing so late. Thanks for the imput anyway Pea0n

If you're running an Intel chipset board, there was a problem with one of their driver revisions causing drives to vanish for no reason.

I'll be damned if I can find the link, but my friend had a similar problem and I stumbled across this by chance.

P4 on a LGA775 board, off the top of my head. I'm sure this was out of the blue though, no updates or anything before it started happening. Still, I'll look into that.
