Hard faults..

I have a trange problem whereby MP3's stutter every now and then...

I've tried them on both of my drives (Seagate SAS, and a Seagate 7200.10), and get the same results on both, so doubt it is either the drive or the hard drive controllers...

Checking in Vista, I seem to have a lot of hard faults per sec.. Any idea how to resolve this? A quick google seems to point to page file problems? The page file is on the SAS drive..

Other than that, everything seems to be running normally - games etc play fine..

Cheers..

A high rate of page faults per second is not necessarily a problem - a page fault is not an error it's simply that the OS has looked for a piece of memory which wasn't in RAM and hence had to go the page file for it.

Ah, ok..

So any idea why my mp3's are stuttering then? I realise it's a bit of a broad question there!!

Just not sure where to start troubleshooting...
