I don’t know if it’s just a change of packaging at times, but I’m finding lots of favourites keep disappearing from shelves, sometimes they return, other times not.

Right Guard Original being the latest, I can’t find it anywhere and it’s one that just works for me.

Previously PG tips tea bags, it turned out they were ditching pyramid and going back to square

Weetabix Breakfast Drink, apparently it wasn’t popular enough so ditched

A few things can go on here, sometimes...
say Tesco will sell Old spice, it does not sell enough so stops.
Package/product formulation change causes fluctuations in the availability
Simply not profitable enough for company to make a product so it is discontinued (sometimes coming back)

Feel the pain though, as this has happened with old spice for me, but also the kids have a metabolic genetic condition, so very restricted diet, we find a product they like, then it becomes impossible to get for some time, but weirdly sometimes after months on end, comes back. But sometimes does not.
End up doing a trek around different supermarkets at a weekend, sometimes ordering in bulk online! The last one probably your best option.

I'm glad PG tips have gone back to square bags. Recently I found the pyramid bags ripped really easily.

I'm still waiting for Nestle Clusters to come back.

Happened bloody ages ago but I used to really like a pickle by a brand called Pan Yan and was gutted when it stopped.

Each supermarket will stock a variety depending on the local demand. The 3 big Sainsburys in a 25mile radius i've noticed stock differing items.

Though as money continues to centralise into bigger and bigger business things like this will continue happening.

My local big supermarket brand, Intermarché does lots of deals with smaller local suppliers as well as the household brands and their own brand stuff.

It’s possible to fill most of a weekly shop for 2 with products grown/raised/made within a 20km radius of the stores.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Conditioner is missing from my nearest Morrisons, haven't seen any in months.

they don't even seem to have a shelf space for it, just 2 bottles of shampoo next to each other

Never mind brands.. since Brexit/lockdown there are certain things that are just missing.

Spinach pasta.. French mustard.. for a while sweet pointed peppers where awol.

I have to drive across three villages to go to Waitrose and just to get pasta!
