Hi, i purchased a new HDD from OCuk. HDD in question is a western digital caviar SE16 320gb 3200ks SATA-11 16mb cache - oem.
when i boot it up it makes a "clicking noise" and i cant start up. i want it to be a slave HDD to my other HDD which is not SATA.

The jumper settings on my other WD HDD that loads up windows is on cable select. the new HDD does not have as many pins as my old one so i dont know how to set it up as master/slave.

my mobo has all the right connecterors it supports a 939 processor.

When i start up, the HDD just starts connecting and my computer cant seem to detect either HDD. what should i do?

how is that possibly i just brought it?!!
i brought it from ocUK will i get a full refund or something?
But if thats not the case all i need to do is set my primary as Master and i leave my SATA with no jumper settings?

it goes "tick tick tick {pause} tick tick tick {pause} etc. If it is broken... what are the chances of it just being a faulty HDD? i just find that unreal in this day and age!. could i then change my HDD to a normal HDD rather then sata so i can just set it up as master/slave, something i know how to do :P
