Harddrive has died on me.

Unless you have a stopwatch or are heavily into benchmarking I'd doubt that you would notice much difference in the cache sizing on these 7200rpm drives. I have a couple of Seagate 750Gb 32Mb cache drives on my gaming rig.

When I'm running my other rig alongside, with older so called "slower" 8Mb cache drives I can't really see a load time difference in everyday applications.

Anyway, the Seagate 500Gb ones your looking at review well!! :)

I'm very pleased with my Seagate's and the warranty and RMA service seems to very good as well. a lot of guys on here have reccommended the Sammy F3 because it's a very quick drive!! and not a bad price at a shade under 42 quid! :)

I had a couple of 7200.12's in RAID and one of them developed bad sectors so another vote for the Samsung F3 from me (using now).
