Harddrive Partition

Hey guys just i quick question about my xp install i have a 500 gb wd harddrive and i want to partition it so i have like 20 gb for the os and the rest for files how do i do it please help sorry for the blunt post

When you are running the windows set-up it will ask you where you would like to install it

You can then delete / create a partition with the size you need

It will say unpartitioned space or will have your old set-up if it does you need to delete this first then create the size you need

I done that and installed xp on the partitioned 20 gb but when i looked in my computer it only showed 20 gb wheres the rest ?

you still need to format the rest through disk management (rclick my computer>manage>disk management)
