Harddrive Problem!!

hi guys ive just been to ocuk and purchased a Hitachi deskstar 160gig hd
got home installed it when i boot the pc it detects the 2 hard drives put it wont detect my dvd drive :confused:

??

ive tried pretty much everything i can think of to no avial.

anyone have any ideas?

What type of drives are they (all of them), SATA or IDE?

the main drive is a WD Raptor 74 gig - SATA

Hitachi deskstar 160 - SATA

and a Plextor PX775A - IDE

When both of the hd's are in it detects the dvd as a scsi drive but it wont read disks! its doing my head in i think ive tried everything. :confused:

Which SATA ports are the two HDDs connected to?

its a asus wifi deluxe mobo there connected to the sata ports 1 and 2
ive managed to get a file system on the drive but its still not picking up the dvd drive :confused:
