Hardest 360 achievement

Dead Rising is the toughest I have come across. Trying to get all 50 achievements (I only have 38 so far) is real hard especially the 5 & 7 day survivor ones as you need to stay alive for approx 14 real life hours and cannot save the game in this time so you have to leave your 360 on in pause mode which can sometimes cause the game to crash with a cannot read disc error!

Ridge Racer6 is another which is really hard to get all the achievements on.

Easiest and the only ones I got all 1000 on were NFSMW & Tomb Raider Legend.

I am currently working through the Fifa 06 challenges and can tell i will probably never get them all!!

World Snooker has a 147 break achievement, pretty sure thats one i will never get as well!

Has anyone noticed that after a period of being tough, achievements are actually becoming easier and more achieveable again?

Id prefer to play a game with 20 achievements that are all achievable as part of the main story, rather than going off collecting stuff. Im playing Tomb Raider just now, but its annoying to get most of the achievements you have to go collecting stuff, its hard enough as it is.

Hardest one that I have personally ever gone after was doing all the challenges in FIFA World Cup 06, whoever else did them will probably agree :p

I found them all easy except the Australia vs Samoa(or something like that)
i must have restarted that match about 100 times before i did it.

I had many rages over that one :p

Some games, I don't mind achievements that involve collecting stuff whereas others are just a chore. For instance, collecting the orbs in Crackdown was actually quite fun whereas I'm not interested in collecting all the flags in Assassins Creed.
On the whole though, I don't mind collecting achievements as I tend to explore every nook and cranny in every game I play anyway.

Oh dear, you've now just reminded me that I still have to do it after so long! :( I thought the Graw No.1 in the world achievement would be the hardest but I seem to recall there being an early on exploit for that.

Yeh i agree, but in Crackdown which was fun, getting the orbs was really part of the game as well to power up, and a good challenge climbing up stuff.

Well holy thread revival batman but thought Id post here...

Just done 'Mile High club' and 'no fighting in the war room' on veteran today on COD4 - they are the hardest I've got so far closely followed by 50 stars on the speed runs for Mirrors edge (having to get 96* actually puts me off geting the DLC to be honest - I dont want to break a pad!).

The hardest one I have achieved would have to be getting the one for completing the whole of Perfect Dark Zero on Dark Agent in single player. I distinctly remember when I completed Jungle on Dark Agent that I actually stood up and cheered and ran around the house in celebration. lol

Got the full 1000 score on COD4, tbh they wernt too difficult, you just had to be on at the top of your game and be patient. Mile High becomes a lot easier when you realise how effective the flashbangs are and then running past most of em :).

I would say some of the Street Fighter IV achievements are ridiculous, dont you need to do every single 1 of the challenges with every single character ? Some of the combos they put at you are damn ridiculous.

Auf Wiedersehen Petrovic i would also rank as a contender because you have to complete every single damn thing on GTA4's multiplayer, that means coming first in every single race, in both GTA Race and normal Race, along with all the other stuff you need to do, and this is in ranked games where your forced to play against god knows how many better drivers. On the PC its much easier seing as most people stick to player matches, so you can, at least most of the time, host the game yourself and have a friend find your game and he lets you beat him, time consuming still however.

Most probably the Gears of War 2 Hardcore 2.0 achievement (cant remember the one for the first game. but It must take many man hours to get that much.

There are also some Street fighter 4 achievements which look really quite solid, stuff like

-Defeat Gouken and clear Arcade Mode in Hardest difficulty.
-Win 10 ranked matches in a row.

Correct and some of them aren't possible with a pad, well even if some did manage to do them on pad you'd be putting in 1000000x more effort in with the pad than you would have to with an arcade stick.

The achievement for completing 'No Fighting in the War Room' on Veteran on COD4 perhaps? That really wound me up.

Edit: or the Rock Band achievements, just because they take forever to achieve.
