Hardest PC Games Ever

So far its been pretty tough. There's just no bloomin ammo. You kill someone with an Ak and they've got like 4 to 8 rounds on them. Means you have to go down to lesser weapons, and I've even had to resort to the knife at some parts as I'm just clean out of ammo.

Doom2 was a bit like that when playing on Ultraviolence/Nightmare. Over 10 years ago now but I distinctly remember starting the penultimate level (29) with only 1 shotgun shell and no ammo for any other weapon.... had to come down this lift at the start, and line up two grunts and kill them both with one shot to conserve ammo Earlier in the game I had to take on Mancubus' with chainsaw, crazy ****.

i remember shadow of the beast 2 was impossible. i had the amiga version but im sure there was a PC version. The people who made the game actually admitted it was impossible to finish (or get anywhere near!) without using the cheat. cheats were very popular then, all the best games had them


oh and the cheat was typing 'ten pints', just incase anyone is still stuck on it

its not hard to complete tho, just takes time

Guildwars is actually impossible to "complete" with one character

Wouldn't mmo's/morpg's etc be harder to complete/finish?

Well I was going to say WWII Online...you can't finish it, obviously, but it's tough just staying alive.

No, Avp 2 was pretty poor imo compared to the first one. I remember playing the first one in single player with a few of my mates at uni and it was the only game that anyone wanted their go to end but was happy to watch someone else play.

I loved AvP, though they're right that it's a very hard game. I completed the marine and alien campaigns but the predator one was just insane.

Multiplayer was a laugh too - either survival co-op or last man standing. Last man standing was superb. One person starts as an alien and everyone else is a marine. Every time the alien kills someone, they become an alien. The winner is whoever survives the alien onslaught longest.

My only gripe was with one of the alien levels. There's no save points and right at the end of one mission there's a long infinite drop jump. Screw your timing up and you had to re-do the entire level.

CoD 2 on vet should be on there. Damn that was tough. Still finished it though The ambush section must have taken me an hour for 2minutes of progress.
