Hi Guys,

Its that time of the year when in the past I'd drain/clean the system however this is the first time with hard tubing.

Any precautions and advice for me?

I was thinking of ordering 'Mayhems Blitz Basic Cleaning System', is it worth it or is the usual drain it, fill up with DI water, run, drain, repeat a few times enough?

I have in the past but unless your having issues and you have noticed a degradation in flow then i would just give it the usual several good rinses and re-fill. That usually cleans any crap out.

if there is some **** in your system it fill probably stay in your water block because its the tightest spot in your loop :>

Rinse will do but if it’s not too painful in your build to take the rads out then maybe distilled vinegar and water them (shake em about).

I would be tempted to also open the blocks and give them a clean inside as the fins around the jet plate tend to catch all the crap.

Thank you all,

After draining the coolant out it actually appears to have a slight green tinge to the inside of some (not all) of the hard line tubing. Mayhems coolant says its okay with the EK tubing so wasn't expecting this.

I think I'll be doing a full strip down now :(
