why not

have a monitor per pixel setup then sit a mile back? im sure that would work

so if there was perfectly square monitors ( 1280x1280 or 1280x1024 )


so there will be 1 310 720 monitors all piled up :D
 
id prefer to still sit at about 1-2ft from teh screen and pretend im a tiny little person, and the guns [cough]boobs[/cough] are MASSIVE.
 
i think a majority of people will do a 3 x 1 setup anyways for gaming, but for other aspects outside of gaming 6 monitors would be a great advantage,

Also this tech is in early stages, it may mature and games would utilize the monitors in different ways so a 2 x 3 setup you may have the bottom 3 as your in game view with the top 3 the map, a squad status and something else???

Who knows but i would rather have the ability to add more if i wanted too than to not even have that option.
 
What is the main difference of a 6 monitor setup vs one big 60" 1080p LCD?

Is the advantage that you can run the 6 LCD's at a much higher resolution?

aspect ratio plays a big part (as well as resolution)the side screens fill in your peripheral vision quite nicely, which is great if you have the game setup properly :D
