I am going to build a budget gaming machine for about £300 and would be very grateful if anyone could tell me if I bought a Intel G3258 cpu with a MSI H81M-P33 motherboard and also bought a EVGA GTX 760 SC graphics card would the graphics card be compatible and if so what psu and case would you advice? Thanks

Graphic card would be fine, but you must be aware of having dual-core CPU would affect your performance here and there, even oc-ed.
430W/450W PSU would be fine, just make sure it's branded (Antec, BeQuiet, Corsair, Enermax, Seasonic, XFX, etc), even for 4-cores CPU. Upto 35 pounds you will find something good if you count every penny, otherwise:

Casing = depends on your taste and money to spend. It should be nice for you at the end :) Personally, I prefer CoolestMaster Dominator series. In your budget, however, I'd spend less money for case and purchased:

and pushed more money into CPU, buying used i5-4460 @ Ebay instead of Pentium. I presume you will be gaming.

That card would work fine in that board but I would spend a few quid extra on the board and get the Asus H81-Plus or H81M-Plus at they are proven to be able to overclock the Anniversary Pentium CPU to 4.5Ghz with ease and a "decent" cooler.

Superflower, EVGA, Antec etc are all great power supplies and a 350w-450w would be more than enough.
