hardware monitoring / ubuntu

Hi there,

Ive got ubuntu 6.06 dapper drake installed and wondered if there are any apps that monitor the cpu/motherboard and hard disk temperatures?

also, surely it'd be better to have a forum dedicated to linux / open source rather than one forum that includes mac stuff too?? last time I visited here there weren't any mac posts.

Check the ubuntu forums. They are the best resource for ubuntu i have foud by far. Theres are loads of great guides in the howto section.

thanks, thats how ive managed to install java, xmms etc by reading the how to

its really quite superb.
