Hardware problem.

Hi,

My friend has a new pc and he has built it all. Now it boots up all fine, and apparently runs all fine on the desktop for roughly 30 minutes, then all of a sudden gets a no signal message come up on his monitor. He gets that message quicker when you run programs. He has already had the psu and graphics card checked to see whether they were faulty, which they both came back as being all fine.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

My guess is either the PSU is under powered, or the GPU is overheating (more likely). Run the computer again and monitor temperatures.

I am just testing his monitor now on my pc. So far it is running fine, so looks like it isn't that.

I doubt it is the graphics card overheating though, it has been ran with the sides off the case so air flow has been fine. And with the shop he bought it from testing it you would hope they would know whether the fan is running and whether it is overheating.
