https://twitter.com/ManuelGuzman/status/616424939944480769 Nvidia Manuel tweeting this "“Their drivers are simply better than AMD, and they’re updated more frequently.” "(Regarding the below link)... Funny considering how broken their drivers have been recently for a lot of their GeForce users (Knock on wood not having any of the issues myself).

http://www.pcgamer.com/hardware-report-card-nvidia-vs-amd/

The AMD R9 Fury X is here, marking the first time since 2013 that both AMD and Nvidia have had new, competitive GPU hardware out at the same time. The GTX 980 Ti and the Radeon R9 Fury X are both priced at $650 and aimed at high-end 1440p and 4K gaming. The Fury X represents a huge release for AMD, while Nvidia’s been releasing a steady stream of Maxwell graphics cards since late 2014. Against that backdrop, we thought it was time for a check-in: where do AMD and Nvidia stand right now, where are they going, and most importantly, whose graphics cards should you buy?

First off, neither company deserves your abiding loyalty. Don’t blindly follow AMD or Nvidia from one graphics card release to the next, singing their praises over the competition. It should go without saying that you should head where the best product is. And when we’re talking graphics cards, the best product isn’t just about hardware. It's about driver performance and updates. It's about software and exclusive features. And it's about the accessories that work with those graphics cards, like G-Sync and FreeSync monitors.

In this feature I've taken a look at each of these areas and graded AMD and Nvidia on how they stand right now.

the more they "fight spam" each other on social media the better for us lower price prices

How I see it is that AMD has less buggier drivers but overall a worst experience, but Nvidia has buggier drivers, but overall a better experience due to their drivers having less CPU overhead which also results in having better FCAT scores as well.

id take amd driver over nvidias . people still have the amd stigma of yesteryear.
Yea. And speaking of which, has Nvidia fixed the (lack of) performance issue of the older gen cards such as Kepler (700 series and older) for the newer titles such as Witcher 3?

Take the below thread for example...

...I really want to suggest to OP to consider second 780 because of Witcher 3, but not sure if Nvidia has fixed the performance of the Kepler for Witcher 3 yet...

Yes they released a fix for the kepler cards on the 1st of June, about a week after the issues were reported.

Drivers have been broken for me lately (Nvidia). I keep getting crashes when switching from windowed to full screen and that "Driver crashed and then recovered" error. However, performance is good as usual.

Funny thing is, I had issues with Nvidia drivers when I went to a duel monitor setup. I formatted and re installed windows and since then everything is fine.

Instead this being in the FuryX thread I think this one is perfectly fine.

All respect to Greg doesn't want to get involved in this on going debate.

But anyone running Nvidia and AMD would like to have a good conspiracy theory lets begin.

Game Bug on Nvidia? Same footage record with same Capture Hardware..

^ Look at blue sign, on the Titan is looks like the guy left his glasses at Specsavers.

I can honestly say that over the many many years of PC gaming I've never had any major issues with either companies drivers whether it be ATI, AMD or Nvidia. The only difference I used to notice was years ago ATI cards had more vibrant colours then Geforce cards.

For those of you who complain you should be grateful these companies continue to support and update drivers on a regular basis, Intel issues new drivers once every red moon and other companies who make sound cards for example will just not bother updating the software for new operating systems (*cough* Creative Labs).

Without verification from other reputable sources it's pointless spamming it everywhere shankly. Gregster could easily have disabled AF on the Titan to get the AMD users such as yourself frothing at the mouth about it to get it to go viral and generate followers/views for his Youtube channel.

Frankly, there are so many discrepencies in that video (including the black crush/possible gamma difference I mentioned in the Fury thread) that it's probably as far from a fair comparison as you can get.

I mean just read the video description:

Lol sorry for the schoolboy error but I recorded the Fury X at 30Mbs and recorded the Titan X at 12Mbs and this made the TX look very washed out. Both set to 30Mbs this time and apologies for adding the same boring run for a third time :D

Yet another strange mistake to make if you ask me unless you're you know.. wanting to paint Fury in a good light in of all things a Fury thread and create a bit of hysteria around image quality.

I can't say I've ever had any problems with AMD drivers in god knows how many years of ownership.

Haven't had any with Nvidia either - but then again I've never owned one of their cards :P

Way too many things can go wrong in a video to base anything solely on that anyhow - whether the profiler did something strange in multi-pass compression or even people not realising that capturing and compressing one lot of footage then overlaying it into the capture of another lot of footage and compressing again will result in one area of the video being lower quality than the other and so on.
